Sweating problems-places most prone to excessive sweating and easy remedies

Sweating problems affect a large percentage of the world’s population. Especially in tropical lands is this condition rampant. The effect of hyperhidrosis on a person may include lowered self esteem and other social related problems. There are different kinds of excessive sweating problems one may face. These are either over the entire body which is rather general or only on a specific place which is more focal.

When it comes to the general kind of excessive sweating, sufferers may find that they sweat profusely all over their body. This may be despite normal weather conditions and no change in stress factors. The cause for this is usually hereditary so there is not much that can be done.

On the other hand, a more common form of the illness is the focal sweating problems. These affect specific parts of the body and can be more easily controlled. Let’s take a look at some of the most common parts of the body that suffer from over sweating.

Armpit sweating problems

This is probably one of the most common forms of this condition. It’s normal for everyone to sweat in the underarms but when the sweating goes out of hand, you will have a big problem. The fact is sweaty underarms usually have a bad odor that people around you will find repulsive. In addition, those sweat stains under your pits can be very embarrassing. There are some things that you can do to try and stop sweating problems in this area.

  • Shave your underarms. Keeping your pits free from hair will be one way to reduce the sweatiness you get. Underarm sweat can trap the sweat and prevent it from evaporating so shaving it off will be a good thing.
  • Wear cooler, loose clothing. Cotton in particular is something that you should try and make use of. Especially if you live in a tropical country would it be important that you pay attention to the kind of clothing you wear. Wear something that will allow your skin to breathe.
  • Use anti-persperants. These have a number of ingredients that can help reduce the sweat or at least the smell of your pits. In particular, go for those with alum included in them.

Underarm sweating problems may be hard to treat but there are a lot of things you can do to try and keep the condition under control.

Head sweating problems

This is also referred to as facial hyperhidrosis. This can be as bad as the armpit sweating problems simply because it is almost impossible to hide the condition. Sufferers usually have sweat dripping from their faces, their hair always wet and smelling sweat which isn’t very welcome symptoms. The cause of this kind of sweating problem may be because of the malfunctioning of some glands or some other medical condition. Here are some practical things that you can do.

  • Shower often. Since you are more prone to get sweating and probably smelly in a short period of time, one of the first things you can do is shower often than usual. Also be careful with the shampoos you use and make sure they aren’t making your condition any worse.
  • Carry a hanky. If you really have a serious sweat problem on your face, carry one or more hankies. This will at least make sure that you are ready to wipe of the sweat when it starts dripping. Never use your hands. This is messy and unsightly.
  • Check your diet. If you are fond of spicy food. Many sufferers have found that whenever they ate spicy food, the sweating started. Try and either minimize or totally discontinue intake of spicy foods.
  • Don’t wear hats and the like. Keeping your hair under some cap will prevent the sweat from evaporating which will cause the sweat build-up. Sufferers should keep away from hats, caps and other hair accessories and products.

The hands and feet are other parts of the body that may be prone to sweating problems and the same tips will work for them as well. The best you can do when you have this condition is to find a permanent solution to your problem which will usually mean consulting a physician.
